We are proud to introduce to you the leaders of our district who are servants to the constituents, churches, and ministers of the district.
James Braddy
Rev. James Braddy was elected District Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Northern California and Nevada District at their annual District Council on April 20, 2004. He had served as the Assistant District Superintendent since April of 1997 after serving as Director of Christian Education since 1992.
Rev. Braddy oversees the nearly 450 churches comprising over 129,000 adherents in Northern California and Nevada District. The District stretches from Smith River in the north to to King City in the south; from San Francisco in the west to Wells, NV in the east; and as far south as Boulder City, Nevada. These churches are vibrant congregations that are multicultural and include 20 different language groups.
Samuel Huddleston
Dr. Samuel Huddleston was elected as Assistant District Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, Northern California and Nevada District at their annual District Council on April 21, 2004.
His responsibilities include oversight of our district’s Churches and Missions activities and programs. This includes giving direction to over 180 District Affiliated Churches, recognized and approved ministries such as Chi Alpha, the Assemblies of God program for outreach on college and university campuses, and Teen Challenge, the national Assemblies of God drug rehabilitation program which is the most successful program of its kind in the world. In addition to his speaking schedule, Dr. Huddleston also serves the district through his membership on the General Presbytery, Bethany College’s Board of Trustees, the Board of Trustees of American Indian College, and several other committees and boards.
Jay Herndon
Dr. Jay Herndon was elected as District Secretary-Treasurer of the Assemblies of God, Northern California and Nevada District at their annual District Council on April 19, 2005. In addition to general executive officer responsibilities (assisting and advising churches and ministers, and speaking frequently in churches) Dr. Herndon’s responsibilities include oversight of the credentialing of ministers, chartering of churches, legal and property matters, insurance programs, and District finances.
