The Prayer Ministry of the Northern California and Nevada District of the Assemblies of God is designed to encourage the constituents of our district to deepen their life of prayer and intercession.
To this end, several different events and activities are organized throughout the year:
Prayer Training Seminars: These two-day seminars provide an overview of what intercessory prayer ministry is and how it can support the ministry of the pastor and the church and also introduces various prayer strategies being used in several churches today. These Seminars are held at the annual Connect Conference.
Weekly Internet Prayer Updates: NCN-News bytes is a brief electronic news bulletin sent to our district ministers, generally once a week. They are short (about 600 words total) and contain the latest news, urgent prayer requests, and local happenings from the Northern California / Nevada District. Urgent prayer requests regarding our district ministers are included in each issue along with the name, address, location or other information to enable others to respond in love. Over 700 of our ministers subscribe to this news service and are mobilized in prayer to respond to needs such as death, heart attacks, sickness, tragedy, and other urgent needs.
