There is no greater need, no greater privilege for the believer than that of prayer. It is our life, our breath, our very connection to the Father. Prayer is an essential for the believer and for this district. Prayer is not something we read about but something we do.
Hope McDonald wrote in her book Discovering How to Pray, “We can read all the books that have ever been written about prayer, but until we actually choose by and act of our will to pray, we will never learn!” As Superintendent, I am calling this district not to read about, attend a conference on, or to study prayer, I am calling us to pray.
