Have a great story you’d like to share about your grandchild(ren)? Judi Braddy, the Superintendent’s wife, is looking for some good illustrations for her current contracted book project, “Camp Gramma: Putting Down Spiritual Stakes for Your Grandchildren.”
The following are areas that Judi would love to hear your stories from:
1) Any personal story illustrating how grandparents influence their grandchildren’s lives and spiritual values.
2) Stories involving special memories, annual traditions, new and interesting experiences, or funny quips/quotes.
3) Even negative experiences that taught a valuable lesson.
4) Stories about grandparenting long-distance.
5) Stories from those estranged from grandchildren and how you stay connected.
“These stories can be about your own grandparents, your children’s grandparents or you as a grandparent. The inspiration for this book springs from my own five-year tradition of organizing a real Camp Gramma for my own six geographically-scattered grandkids complete with theme, activities, crafts and morning Bible study. If you do something similar, I’ve love to hear about it. Since the book is woven around a camping theme, a few camping or vacation stories would work well. Please e-mail stories to me personally at . I’d also be happy to send actual chapter titles & descriptions. Thanks and happy camping!” Judi Braddy.
