Personal Overview
I grew up in the church and have a Methodist and Evangelical Free church background. In eighth grade, I was saved while attending a Youth Rally in Illinois. Two years later, I knew God was calling me into the ministry. In answer to that call, I went to North Central Bible College, where I worked and studied my way through and graduated in 1996. During my first semester of college, I received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of Speaking In Tongues, while attending a special praise and prayer service. While I was in college, I did lay ministry at a local church, St. Louis Park Assembly of God, which I later interned with under the direction of the Youth Pastor. While at college, I receive my preaching license from the Minnesota District.
I meet my wife, Denise, in my fourth year of college, and after dating for three years we were married in 1997. After nine years of enjoying a wonderful marriage, God blessed us with our first child, Aurora Faith, in July 2006.
The strengths and gifts God has given me that I feel would be useful to you are: I am a people person, and have a heart for serving people. I enjoy preaching, love my family, and have experience in many diverse areas of ministry. I have led both large and small groups of people with a God given Shepherd’s heart. I also have the Spiritual Gift of Word of Knowledge, which God has used to minister to many people in my life, and I love to encourage and uplift people. I am excited to see how God is going to use my life as I follow him in this new adventure in ministry.
