TRAINING FOR ALL MINISTERS AND MINISTRY COUPLES

At the direction of the Superintendent, you are invited to participate in a special cohort of ministers called, “Concept 12”.  This cohort is a gathering designed specifically for the training, equipping and establishing of healthy ministers and pastoral couples in the local church.

There will be four opportunities in 2009, for you to receive positive and powerful tools that will strengthen you and allow you to transition from where you are (spiritually, emotionally, and physically) to a desired destination of lasting change.  You will hear from noted speakers on a variety of topics all targeted at understanding your unique needs and lifestyle as a minister and for our pastoral couples:

1) The extra baggage that we carry in life (garbage or grace)
2) Living in the present (not burning the candle at both ends)
3) Claiming a quality future (preventing casualties)
4) Seeing the big picture (walking into your vision)

Our sessions will be held on Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. here at the District Resource Center.  We will provide refreshments and time for fellowship.  Each individual or couple will need to register for Concept 12. Ministers who are married are encouraged to bring their spouses, although we realize for some that is not possible.  There is a one-time registration fee of $50.00 per individual or per couple. This will assist us in bringing in quality speakers who can address and provide you with their experience and expertise. 

We will meet on the following dates in 2009:

May 14th, 2009
July 30th, 2009
November 5, 2009

Each session will cost $25.00 per individual or per couple. This will cover the cost of materials that will be provided for each of you to keep.  Please know that the District Resource Center will not profit from Concept 12.  We are trying to make this an affordable resource to our ministers.
