- General prayer.
Welcome Anna, to our District Women's Ministries Prayer Network site. We are so grateful that you are taking the time to pray for the needs of the Women's Ministries department, the pastors in our district and urgent needs. As you stand in the gap for others, we pray that your church, family and personal needs will be met. We serve a God that is more than enough.
"Lord, raise up the effectual, fervent prayers of Your people. May Your love and peace so rise in our hearts that it becomes our greatest testimony of Your goodness."

Urgent Prayer Request
This urgent prayer request has come to us from missionary colleagues of Denise and Bob Ryals in Spain. Their request is for intercessors and prayer warriors to pray for the spiritual climate of Spain. They were just informed that the Cambrils city government has rejected their letter of intent to rent a building to open an evangelical church.
What has been explained to them is that this anti-religious attitude is attempting, through proposed legislation in the region of Spain, to give local city governments the right to allow or even to close down religious venues! This legislation is against the Spanish Constitution which provides for freedom of religion. It appears that a political war is brewing here. Even though this legislation has not been voted on yet, they think that since the socialist party won the March 9th national elections, Cambrils is moving forward with that political agenda.
The general, society in Cambrils is devoid of God. In fact, most people they talk to claim to not believe in God. Your prayers our most needed.

We Thank God for Your Prayers!
We have been so encouraged by the prayers of so many congregations and dear friends around the country! Now, after completing six 3-day cycles of chemotherapy since last October, we have received the wonderful news that some of the lung cancer is gone and the main concentrations are down about half. The oncologist is so pleased with the progress that he is continuing the chemotherapy through the month of March! Praise God! We believe that more than medicine is going on! As with many cancer patients, I have lost my hair. I am with one of the nurses in the chair where I receive my chemo at the Mercy Cancer Center—an extension of the University of California at Davis—in Merced. In my lap is a manuscript I am writing on the Book of Revelation during this time when I can’t be out preaching.Medically speaking, the doctors tell me they’ll never get all of the cancer but will continue to monitor me over these next years. But that doesn’t take into account the miraculous power of God. We’re believing God for a total healing! A very special thanks for those who have blessed us with love offerings through this difficult time when I can’t be out preaching.
May God bless you for your prayers! Please keep praying!—David & Barbara Womack.
Cathryn Edelman from Sequoyah Assembly of God serves as one of our Anna’s. Many of you have been praying for Cathryn who had been on bed rest since a minor car accident coming home from the Fall Connection in October. Cathryn and her family want to thank you for your prayers; they are rejoicing at God’s faithfulness that Catherine had her baby on February 7 weighing in at 6 lbs 1/4 oz and 19 inches long. Congratutions on their little girl’s arrival!

The following is second praise report from Dan Paulson of Susanville.
Lighting ignited a brush fire behind our home, rapidly moving in the direction of our home. We were in church, worship had just begun when we got the call that our home was in front of the intense fast moving fire. We arrived home in time to witness 30 foot flames only 70 feet from our house. Firefighters had arrived and began defensive action on the house. (I am a fire fighter department Chaplain).
Praying and working on defending our home, the wind shifted away from us and drops of rain began to fall. This was a dry lighting storm, meaning no moisture in the thunder. Within minutes rain fell so hard it hurt to be hit by it. It rained so hard firefighters pulled back under cover and God extinguished the flames. Later we were told that our church bobby, Susanville Assembly of God, stopped service and began to pray for rain.! Another church near our home witnessed the lighting strike and fire start, they began to pray for rain. The amazing part of the story was that a witness down the road said, “A cloud formed and it only rained on my home.” It did not rain on the roads around us nor did it rain on property surrounding our home.
Our friend’s that witnessed this said it was a miracle from God.! It only rained on the fire and our home! This friend has begun attending church for the first time ever. As the Fire Department Chaplain, I was used by God to walk two firefighters to Christ a week later, their testimony being the power of prayer; witnessing God’s grace and power!
This praise report comes from Susanville Assembly of God co-herent, Dan Paulson.
My left hand was pinned under an 80 pound pipe and the edge of a cinder block, crushing the end of my left ring finger. The finger was broken, severely swollen and discolored. Doctors had immobilized it and said it would 6-8 weeks to heal. Ten days after breaking it, I came went to the altar at church, removed the metal brace, and asked for anointing and healing from God. I was anointed with oil and the saints prayed! I found myself on the carpet, my hand free from pain, full motion and movement was restored!
Within two days all swelling, discoloration was gone! Witnesses told me as I lay on the floor that my left hand was trembling, opening and closing as God’s healing spirit touched me! Praise God!
A young man who attends Bethel Assembly in Eureka graduated from their recovery home ministry, has accepted the call to be a youth pastor and is now being mentored.
Praise Report Given at Mt. Lassen: Jan Setters from Yuba City attends Calvary Temple and serves in their Women’s Ministries. She began to experience mini-strokes. A group of Intercessors from her church, also Anna’s, went to Jan’s home and prayed for her. The Lord renewed her strength as she prayed for others! She now testifies of the Lord’s healing both physically and spiritually — setting her eyes on His purpose for her life to PRAY!
On the second Tuesday of each month at 10:30 a.m., the leadership team prays for the needs of churches within a specific section of our District. At the end of the year, having finished praying through the needs of all of the sections, the needs of itinerating missionaries are presented to the Lord. The leadership team of the district's Women's Ministries department is inviting all constituents of the District to join them again in praying for the needs of churches within specific sections. The team is currently praying for the East Bay & Lake Berryessa Sections.
